I buy precut pieces for most of my copper enamel pieces, as I am a glass artist, not a metal worker in general. That, of course, may change, but for now I am happy to use esablished shapes and sizes of cut copper that are what I have in mind.
I use fine enamel powders and sift them over the surface of the copper to create layers of glass. The layers build on eachother in several firings to acheive the designs and colors you see here. For more detailed designs I make and use templates and use several fine tipped tools to move the powdered glass where I want it.
The finished pieces are cleaned and made into pendants or earrings.
